Hello and welcome to Tents -n- Tables Lighting. My name is Kelley Hedges. Ten years ago I started tinkering around in wedding and event planning. On one occasion I was asked about how to light the tent where the reception was being held. I remembered the canopy that my sister had when she got married and decided to try one on a smaller scale. I was very happy when the bride was pleased, so I decided to persue other types of canopies. Over the last 10 years I have built lighting canopies for not only tents but expo booths and gazebos.
STARS IN THE CLOUDS
The Stars in the Clouds canopy is designed for a 40 X 60 frame tent. There is a strand of lights from the center frame to each pole. Each strand is individually wrapped in white tulle and then the tulle is poofed and secured. The excess strand can either be wrapped around or hung straight down in front of the vertical poles.
THE NIGHT SKY
The Night Sky canopy is designed for a 60 X 80 frame tent. This canopy has the exact same design as the Stars in the clouds canopy except it has double lights. A strand of lights goes from the center frame to each and every vertical pole and then an additional strand of lights from the center frame to the middle of the horizontal pole, between the vertical poles. The strands going to the vertical poles can also be wrapped around or hung in front. The strand in between each pole is balled up and secured to the horizontal pole. The center frame will be wrapped with silk flowers of your choice. (Picture coming soon)
